Casually tucked in Como Shambala Estate, glow offers all-day menus using mostly organic and locally sources products in a serene and cozy atmosphere. The restaurant is a contemporary-styled and open-sided with an open-kitchen so guests can witness their food being prepared freshly. They serve easy dishes, nutritious and delightful COMO Shambhala Cuisine including salads, energizing juices and blends rich in living enzymes, vitamins and minerals. Tuna sambal matah is certainly one recommended dish. It is a grilled flake tuna top it off with sambal matah, Balinese special chili sauce and served with apple aubergines, ginger flower, shallot and lemongrass. All the ingredients were fresh and the sambal matah actually made the salad taste better through spice, not overpowering. Sea veg...

The initials here stand for ‘Sunset-Kocktail-Al-Fresco-Indulgence’. S.K.A.I. Beach Club at the Padma Resort Legian offers a packed menu to select from for fine tropical dining while presenting a sweeping beach view. It was to be a dining experience of taste and style with a view. Located just beside the stunning Padma Beach, S.K.A.I. Beach Club is an inviting dining venue of modern contemporary interior design and rustic touches. The restaurant is divided into two main areas; al-fresco style spaces complete with a compact-sized infinity pool, and a fully air-conditioned indoors area for more private dining. The menu at S.K.A.I. Beach Club takes the elements of several different culinary types. I chose to start with S.K.A.I. seafood Caesar; a plate of starter that consists of lobste...

Introduced on April 20th, Archipelago delight features delicious homemade Indonesian dishes that can of course can be well paired with wine. [vc_row][vc_column][vc_blockquote type="type1" border_color="#00e3ff"] Casually tucked in Sayan area overlooking the majestic Ayung River just outside the crowded part of Ubud, The Sayan House is an extraordinary fine dining restaurant designed for comfort and expressing a home like atmosphere with an emphasis on “welcome” for all its guests. [/vc_blockquote][vc_column_text] The place is totally hidden from the main road, but as one drives into the circular sand area of the property it becomes obvious that one has arrived at somewhere special. Deceptive from the front but a full mind blowing vista awaits those who venture to the rear of this establishment. The green and scalloped landscape of Ubud fame spreads magnificent from the dining area. It doesn’t take much of a geographer ...

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_blockquote type="type1" border_color="#00e3ff"] After the success of their restaurants in Singapore, Kilo recently opened up their first overseas branch, in the heart of Seminyak. [/vc_blockquote][vc_column_text] Designed with modern Balinese architecture, wood furniture and big windows overlooking a well-manicured landscape, Kilo serves refined comfort and adventure food for those looking for good taste in a casual space. Serving for lunch and dinner, the dishes in KILO are influenced by several cuisines such as Japanese, Italian and Spanish. One dish I found incredibly tantalizing was the squid ink rice. To be honest, this is not an appetizing looking dish. The black colour resulting from the squid ink can be a bit overwhelming for first timers. However, ...

L’Assiette Restaurants

Spice
[vc_row][vc_column][vc_blockquote type="type1" border_color="#00e3ff"] French for ‘plate’, L’Assiette has devoted themselves to serving high quality French Cuisine with appealing twists. [/vc_blockquote][vc_column_text] The restaurant’s interior resembles an open-air art space where paintings, wood sculptures and antique objects are either hanging on walls or making interesting corner pieces. The dining area is a friendly clutter of objects and colour – welcome to provincial France. There is a gallery adjacent to the restaurant and here the displayed works of art are for sale. L’Assiette’s reputation rests on its fine French cuisine along with one or two interesting Asian dishes. The menu is decidedly French however and projects the same homely approach as the décor of this casual dini...
