Intercontinental Bali Resort was honoured to present the globally renowned Japanese chef Takagi Kazuo to the public for their first ever 2 Michelin Star chef experience. The program offered exclusive cooking classes, sake and plum wine tasting and a series of Takagi Kazuo directed dinners at the KO Restaurant, Teppanyaki and Cocktail Lounge from 3rd to 7th September 2014. Takagi Kazuo is the owner chef of ‘Kyoto Cusine TAKAGI’ in Ashiya, a city lying between Osaka and Kobe. Grand Nikko Bali present the Spiritual Kecak Fire Dance during the Closing Ceremony of its Annual Culture Appreciation Nights. Held on 29th August 2014 at the Kupu-Kupu Resort’s amphitheatre. The pinnacle of the evening was a vibrant performance of the Kecak Dance and a colossal drama taken from the classic Hindu epic ‘Ramayana’. The Closing Ceremony act as the finale for Grand Nikko Bali’s 9th Annual Cultural Appreciation Nights. This events also held to celebrate Bali’s rich cultural legacy and aim to introduce local artists to the audiences through a variety of traditional performances.

Just recently, the Sanur Village Festival (SVF) was being held for the 9th time. For three consecutive days (21-24 August 2014) with there ‘Morning of The World’, Maisonette Area at Inna Grand Bali Beach, Sanur became the festive ground filled with audiences from Bali, Indonesia and other countries, to witness various arts and creati- vity performances as well as savoring delicious culinary from local restaurants. Before the closing ceremony, a cultural parade took place around Sanur area, with about 500 participants joining the festivity. The Deputy Mayor of Denpasar, IGN Jaya Negara officially closed the festival and hopes that there will be another SVF next year and the festival will continue being one of the most anticipated events that has attracted million of people.

The second annual Ubud Village Jazz Festival 2014 took place recently at Arma Ubud on 8th and 9th of August 2014 and successfully attracted lots of people to visit and enjoy the music.
