The collection of heritage items has been an on going passion for the Hotel Tugu Bali in Canggu since its founding day. Just recently this luxury boutique hotel and antique preservation centre expanded its facility by launching the JI At Bale Sutra 1706 . The restaurant was created as a sophisticated urban dining venue to cater in style and class for leisure and business travellers alike.
As a part of Hotel Tugu Bali in Canggu, JI At Bale Sutra 1706 also shares the same passion for the Hotel Tugu Bali. In fact, it is the only restaurant that is known to house an original ancient Kang Xi period temple from the 17th century. The temple structure is integrated to Ji’s main dining room where other interesting objects form all over Indonesia are stored. Here paintings, vintage photos and ancient statues are presented. The restaurant has an open-air dining area on the second floor and a bar just in front of one of its three main gates.
JI At Bale Sutra 1706 menu offers Japanese fusion goodness, along with unique cocktails and an array of quality wine. For starters, pork belly is a succulent dish of crunchy crisp, mouth-watering pork belly with ginger and scallion to boost the appetite. Next is the restaurant’s signature dish ‘Dragon of Ji’, which is an energy boost of selected tempura presented in the shape of a dragon. Mango chocolate mousse is the ideal choice of dessert with mango puree, Java chocolate and vanilla pod ice cream. Tasty cocktails are also available to lubricate this dining experience, including Gin and Tea, a brilliant blend of dragon tea infused tanqueray, aperol, grapefruit and lemon.
