The World’s Leading Low-Cost Airline For The Seventh Consecutive Year

AirAsia has been named the World’s Leading Low-Cost Airline for the seventh year in a row at the World Travel Awards (WTA) Grand Final. AirAsia clinched the top spot in its category after receiving the most number of votes from travellers and industry professionals and well ahead of its competitors. In addition, the airline took home the top award for the World’s Leading Low-Cost Airline Cabin Crew for the third year in a row.

In recognition of the contribution of its cabin crew, the airline was represented by its Group Head of Cabin Crew, Suhaila Hassan to receive both awards for AirAsia.

The 26th annual World Travel Awards is globally recognised as one of the most prestigious, comprehensive and coveted honours programmes in the global tourism industry. Established in 1993, the awards, voted for by travel and tourism professionals and consumers worldwide, acknowledge and celebrate excellence across key sectors of travel, tourism and hospitality.

The latest awards add to the extensive collection of accolades AirAsia has won over the years. Earlier this week, AirAsia and AirAsia X Malaysia were announced as Best Low-Cost Carriers Asia/Pacific in the AirlineRatings.com Airline Excellence Awards. In October, AirAsia took home Asia’s Leading Low-Cost Airline and Asia’s Leading Low-Cost Airline Cabin Crew at the Asia and Oceania edition of the World Travel Awards in Phu Quoc, Vietnam.
