Recently opened, this new contemporary eatery and bar delivers the freshest just-caught seafood prepared for the table using simple techniques and combined with beautifully crafted fare made from the finest and freshest local ingredients available. The menu selection rotates daily, taking its cues from Balinese beachside barbeques and calling on other coastal cultures for inspiration as well. One day you may find pan-seared barramundi with sambal alongside a Vietnamese-style slaw or a bowl of edamame, while the next day may offer beer-battered fish and chips, swordfish tikka skewers or a tuna poke.
As for drinks, the bar keeps things short, sharp and snappy with a compact list of beers and wines and with cocktails playing a respected role. The timeless classics are the name of the game while trading minimal sugar for maximum refreshment. Moreover, native ingredients such as kaffir lime, pandan, and pomelo bring new life to spritzes, gimlets, marys and margaritas while soft drinks, young coconut and kombucha are also available.
Partnered with Bali Sustainable Seafood, a social enterprise company based in Denpasar, the Australian stars behind Fishbone Local, Isabella Rowell and Chef Benjamin Cross, are committed to not only minimising their ecological impact on the island and oceans but also to supporting the economic livelihood of local fishermen and their communities.
