Koh Russey Villas & Resort Cambodia Will Be Opening Soon

Koh Russey Villas & Resort, a blissful retreat on Cambodia’s remote Bamboo Island, is due to open on December 18th. The resort offers 50 luxury pavilions and 13 freshwater pool villas skirting 1.2km of private beach on the Gulf of Thailand, only a short speedboat ride from the Khmer Riviera. The resort has been designed based on the traditional geometry of the Cambodian Krama fabric, and all the buildings blend into the palm trees and bamboo groves with the island just over 1 mile wide, while the restaurant and infinity pool offer wraparound ocean views. Accommodation ranges from minimalist ‘cubes’ to a four-bedroom beachfront villa complete with kitchen and butler pantry with outdoor baths.

There are two dining venues or private tables at a variety of locations around the resort that you can enjoy in Koh Russey Villas & Resort. Horizon Restaurant, situated at the poolside with the picturesque view of the beach as your background, spend a day at Horizon as they serve a la carte breakfast of your choice from around the world. Up next is the Beach Shack, located at the beachside, the thatched-roof Beach Shack is the resort’s casual all-day dining spot, built around a sand-floor central bar and open grill. The menu includes authentic Khmer dishes, Asian favorites, Western comfort food, and fresh seafood from the daily catch cooked to perfection on the grill. Last but not least, destination dining is available so you can choose to dine barefoot or with your feet dipped in water by the pool deck or enjoy a more intimate experience inviting your loved ones for a picnic by the seaside silhouetted by the trees.

Guest can pamper themselves with the on-site spa treatments, or invigorate the body and soul with the gym or an everyday yoga lesson with some exercise. And if guests are not tired of exploring, join in on the cultural experiences, from a traditional monk blessing at the local pagoda, to a culinary trip to discover the world known pepper plantations in Kampot. When the sun sets, enjoy a cinema night under the stars, a private destination dining experience or a bioluminescent swim with the glowing plankton.
