AirAsia has received top honors at the World Travel Awards (Asia and Australasia) winning the prestigious title of ‘Asia’s Leading Low-Cost Airline’ for the fourth time. Asia’s largest low-cost carrier in terms of passengers carried and the size of its jet fleet was crowned the region’s top budget airline ahead of Jetstar Airways, Nok Air, GoAir, West Air, JetKonnect, Air India Express, and FireFly.
In addition AirAsia won ‘Asia’s Leading Inflight Service’ for the first time, beating a field of full-service carriers such as Garuda Indonesia, Singapore Airlines, Japan Airlines, Cathay Pacific, Korean Air, Malaysia Airlines, China Southern Airlines, Air India and Hong Kong Airlines.
