Autograph Collection Hotels Debuts in Singapore, With The Opening of Duxton Reserve Singapore

Autograph Collection Hotels announces its debut in Singapore with the opening of Duxton Reserve Singapore. Owned by The Garcha Group, the 49-guestroom boutique hotel joins Autograph Collection’s diverse and dynamic growing portfolio of independent hotels around the world, championing values of vision, design and craft.

Duxton Reserve Singapore, Autograph Collection is situated in the island’s city centre of Tanjong Pagar, and the heart of Chinatown where business, socializing, dining and nightlife take centre stage. Guests can explore the culture-rich Chinatown with its enchanting temples or enjoy a historical journey at the National Museum of Singapore and Asian Civilisations Museum. With the highest concentration of Michelin-starred restaurants in the city, travellers can enjoy local fare in the famous Maxwell Food Centre or dine at the city’s renowned restaurants and bars.

Keeping in line with Autograph Collection’s emphasis on ‘neighbourhood’ and ‘sense of place’, Duxton Reserve Singapore was created within eight sustainably restored 19th-century shophouses. The hotel is designed by the renowned British interior designer, Anouska Hempel, and the designer’s romantic narrative borrows elements from Chinese, Malay and European cultures. Guests are in for an eclectic, elegant surprise as they enter the hotel, where they will be greeted by large theatrical golden fans and strong hues of black, gold and yellow, layered with Oriental screens and calligraphy wallpaper from Anouska’s personal collection.

Rich Asian history is woven together with Anouska Hempel’s luminary vision, creativity and originality in the hotel’s 49 guestrooms and suites, each designed with unique individuality for an exclusive experience every time. Each room features thoughtful amenities including Naturalmat organic mattress, organic cotton bed linen by Beaumont & Brown and bathroom amenities by Etro.

The culinary highlight of the hotel is the modern Chinese restaurant, Yellow Pot, helmed by Chef Sebastian Goh. The restaurant follows the clean eating philosophy, with no MSG, additives or artificial flavourings added to the dishes. Anouska’s, a glamourous bar, is an ode to Bond girl turned interior designer Anouska Hempel, serving up the actress’ favourite drinks from around the world spanning the disco era of the 70s and 80s.

For an experience like no other, guests can take part in the signature perfume workshop at Maison 21G, a local bespoke perfumery next to Duxton Reserve Singapore. There, they can recreate the hotel’s customised signature scent, Garcha, an enchanting potpourri of amber, oud, patchouli and a dash of ginger, ensuring their memories of Duxton Reserve Singapore last long after they return home.
