The 2016 Rio Olympics ended with some glorious moments and encouraging stories to tell. Acknowledging the effort of those competing in the games, AirAsia recently announced the airline’s intention to give a free lifetime ticket for all ASEAN athletes who won gold medals in Rio 2016. Gold medallists are each awarded a free lifetime flight ticket, while silver medallists are awarded free flight tickets for 5 years and bronze medallists are awarded free flight tickets for 2 years. AirAsia group CEO Tony Fernandes said that he felt proud of the achievement of the athletes. They proved that we could all achieve our dreams through hard work and confidence. The six gold medallists who were given the free lifetime tickets are Sukanya Srisurat and Sopita Tanasan (Thailand), Tontowi Ahmad and Liliyana Natsir (Indonesia), Joseph Schooling (Singapore), and Hoang Xuan Vinh (Vietnam). They will get to enjoy flights to over 120 destinations with AirAsia
