There is an exquisite story behind the birth of SANAK which translates to ‘Kindred/ Kinfolk- one’s family’ making a stay here a truly special experience. The story of the development of SANAK Retreat began as the French founders met and spent time with a local Balinese family back in 2011. Impressed by their hospitality, the French then decided to buy some land in the village of Kayuputih near the hill station of Munduk, and make the head of that Balinese family, Pak Gusti, the co-owner of the boutique retreat.
There are 11 spacious wooden bungalows featured here, all with their own private terrace or balcony overlooking a pool and a beautiful tropical landscape. There are three main room types here at SANAK Retreat that range from one-bedroom bungalows, two-bedrooms bungalows and three-bedroom villas. All units boast the wooden-based interiors that are synonymous with Indonesian style and culture. Blended with this is a full compliment of luxury amenities.
