Since first established back in 1968, Tonyraka Art Gallery has been accumulating, displaying and selling collections of fine woodcarvings artwork. It was established by AA Gede Raka Wirayuda, a former woodcarver, under the name of ‘Raka Gallery’. The name was changed after his son; AA Bagus Tony Hartawan took over the business back in 1997, and has been successfully broaden the range of displayed items in the gallery. Nowadays, Tonyraka Art Gallery also showcases modern and contemporary arts as well, from painting, sculptures and installation.
