Pranoto’s Art Gallery was established in 1996 in Ubud and now occupies a new spacious gallery in Jalan Raya Goa Gajah, Teges. The gallery exhibits a large fine art collection of paintings made by Indonesian and international artists as well as hosts life drawing model sessions.   The gallery is run by the artist couple, Pranoto and his wife Pendergrast.Pranoto’s work is inspired by the model sessions but his technique constantly evolves and currently he is painting with acrylic and marble dust to create texture. Considered to be one of the best photographers in Bali, Doddy Obenk recently made a journey to Cambodia and captured the stunning and historical temple at Angkor. He expresses his fascination towards historical buildings through his pictures and allows others to see the magnificent views from this famous site. Angkor Wat is a huge temple complex and is Cambodia’s prime attraction for visitors. It is the World’s largest religious building and was originally built for the king, Suryavarman II, in the early 12th century as his state temple and capital city. With his images, Doddy hopes that we will be better able to appreciate culture, especially our own, and continue preserving culture for future generation.
