Created by Bill Bensley, a Bangkok-based, Harvard-educated architect and landscape designer, Shinta Mani Angkor seduces with its soft lighting, fragrant scents and contemporary Cambodian design. As you enter the front door, you find yourself in a laidback oasis enlivened by funky art, quaint vintage sculptures and beautifully handcrafted lotus flower displays.

“Set in tranquil and leafy surroundings in Siem Reap’s French Quarter, Shinta Mani Angkor is an upscale boutique property, 15 minutes away from Cambodia’s magnificent Temples of Angkor Wat.”

This sophisticated Angkor hotel offers rooms and public spaces in contemporary design inspired by Khmer influences. Images of Angkor complement its modern, minimalist, and chic interiors which also feature handcrafted lamps and accessories.

The 39 rooms range in size from 36 to 45 square meters with several configurations to choose from including the Superior Room, Superior Garden Room, Superior Pool Side Room, Deluxe Garden Room, Deluxe Pool View Room, and Deluxe Living Rooms. All rooms are a step above in terms of design and comfort complete with twin or king sized bed, Terrazzo bathroom with rain shower, wall mounted DVD and LCD TV, sound-bar, iPod dock, and complimentary wireless internet access.

There are two dining venues from which guests can choose.
Inspired by Shinta Mani’s heritage, Kroya Restaurant blends
international and local produce with native herbs and spices to
create innovative, palette pleasing flavours for those seeking an
unforgettable culinary experience. Shinta Mani’s newest culinary
adventure is now open in the form of an American steakhouse.
The Steakhouse, which is now located across the road from
the hotel in the grounds of Shinta Mani Shack, boasts one of
the most complete wine lists in Siem Reap and the bar offers a
selection of handpicked spirits and cocktails.

Located on the second floor over an inner courtyard, Bensley’s Bar is an airy venue with a laidback ambience. The Pool Bar offers tropical refreshments and light snacks all through the day.

Whether it be a relaxing massage, soothing body treatment or a nourishing facial, guests are sure to appreciate the experience at the Shinta Mani Spa, an indulgent retreat that promises revitalisation for both the inner and outer self.

The Shinta Mani Hotel’s innovative business model combines a for-profit hotel with a non-profit institute that trains young under-privileged Cambodians in all aspects of hotel operations on a free of charge basis. They are provided with the skills they need to find employment and to enjoy a brighter future. The vision is to see a prosperous Cambodia where families and communities are strong and become centres of activity and support that can help them to escape the devastation of a grinding cycle of poverty. Their project includes providing education for young adults all around Cambodia, farming projects, clean water, healthcare, future livelihoods and providing food, shelter and clothing for families suffering from sudden disaster or emergency need, along with financial assistance in the form of interest-free loans to local entrepreneurs.

During your visit, get to know Shinta Mani “Shop With A Heart,” a boutique selling locally made products that are both beautiful and well crafted. The shop supports local artisans and businesses and all profit from the shop goes to support community projects for rural villagers in Siem Reap through the Shinta Mani Foundation’s work.
