In September 2018, The Datai Langkawi was extensively renovated, the most substantial enhancement since its opening back in 1993. The renovation was guided by a vision to refresh the spaces, while still maintaining its traditional Datai roots. The Datai Langkawi offers a diverse selection of cuisines with a distinctive Malaysian and Asian flair in both of the resort’s restaurants. The Gulai House is an award-winning restaurant located deep within the rainforest serving a true local feast. The Pavilion is modelled after a birdhouse with far-reaching views of the rainforest where guests are served Thai cuisine using freshly harvested herbs.

Resident Naturalist Irshad Mobarak leads The Datai Langkawi’s nature activities, and he and his team will take guests on a journey to explore a deeper understanding and appreciation of the surroundings and to reconnect with nature.
