Perhaps most of us know Hard Rock Hotel Bali as having a distinctive and fun way to pamper and pleasure their guests; fine music, friendly and funky staff as well as fresh interior, flawlessly merge into a place that offers a bright and re-energising holiday experience.

As most of you will understand, I was surprised by the invitation from their lovely staff to try out their romantic dinner and I have to tell you that the reason I accepted the invitation was simply to try to be polite and I never expected anything extraordinary but I was wrong!

The dinner was at their poolside cabana, which is nestled next to their well-known swimming pool; the largest free-form swimming pool in Bali and featuring a unique sand island.

A simple but fine white table and chairs were nicely waiting for us inside the cabana with a glass of white wine and a proper table setting. As we sat down, a spectacular blue sky and
swimming pool, combined with great lighting, offered a romantic mood while a tiny sound of dropping water from few interior elements placed around the pool made the night more
appealing.

The friendly but polite waiters came and presented us with a tempting choice of set menus and our wonderful night continued.
My 3 course dish started with mouth watering vine ripened tomato and buffalo Mozzarella with basil pesto. As I finished
my lovely starter, the appealing seafood plate was delivered to
the table; a well-cooked lobster, prawn and calamari, served with Mediterranean vegetables and grilled potato.

As we continued enjoying our perfect romantic evening, I had a
chance to dip into my partner’s char-grilled beef sirloin that comes with prawns, grilled vegetables, Anna potato and grilled mushrooms and they were just mouth watering!

Our night ended with the well-known Hard Rock Hotel’s delectable shortcake with strawberry filling; a simple but perfectly made dessert. As I left the Cabana with a wonderfully
satisfied feeling, I thought to myself that I would certainly be back soon!
