Yoga with Dr. Somvir

Yoga has been used by a lot of people for many years in many different parts of the world. Some of us are familiar with Yoga but there are still people out there who don’t have a clue about what yoga is.
An author of ‘Yoga & Ayurveda’ and ‘Mari Beryoga’, Dr. Somvir, one of the most respected yoga teachers in the island who also runs the Bali India Foundation, has a notable mission in his life, which is to teach young and old to practice yoga. With his newest project,Yoga City in Bedugul, he is eager to socialise yoga to every level of individuals so they can achieve a healthier as well as a happier life.
Dr. Somvir has dedicated his life to yoga because he believes that yoga brings positive energy to mind, body and soul. The basic concept of yoga can benefit people not only physically but also mentally. Yoga needs to be a part of your life that apparently can bring your life into a ‘self-less action’, which means
working hard without expecting any payment but will eventually give a less stressful life.
To achieve a more perfect life, he thinks that everyone should aim for simple living and high thinking. By practising yoga, you can actually expand the capacity of your mind as it will become more stable and this can bring you to a calmer attitude. Guru Ji (Ji means respect), as people refer to call him recommends everyone who has never does yoga, firstly to do a 3 months yoga routine and you’ll gain the positive
effect that is happier, calmer and feeling younger.
Yoga also teaches people to be more compassionate, to love others and to help the poor without expecting anything in return and to live in the present life. He asserts that “it is the mind that creates the sickness in life.” So, through Yoga, you’ll be able to have a better quality of life. One technique that is often used in his sessions is laughing, which can give you better blood circulation.
He also explains the importance of Ayurveda, which goes hand in hand with yoga. Combining the techniques in yoga and practising Ayurveda will definitely produce a more healthy life. Practising Ayurveda and yoga can actually cure many diseases or work as a preventative measure to ensure good health.
This is certainly a process that you need to go through in time, nothing comes out instantly, but you need to practice yoga and benefit the good physically, mentally and spiritually.
